We asked Ms. P, one of our amazing Lux babes, how her experience was during her first boudoir photoshoot, and we are glad to share her thoughts!

Have you ever done a boudoir shoot before? If so, how does your shoot with Lux compare to your prior experience?

“I had not done a boudoir shoot before. I had done a pin up themed photo shoot for my bachelorette party which was fun and got some great images from. My shoot with Lux was much more structured and professional which was amazing. And still lots of fun!”

Why did you do your boudoir shoot?

“I did the boudoir shoot as kind of a time capsule for myself. I’m 38, so wanted to capture myself in my 30’s. Hopefully I’ll do something of this sort in my 40’s, 50’s 60’s and beyond!
I had also heard from a couple other women how empowering it is and thought I would like to have this experience.”

What was your favourite part of the session?

“My favourite part of the session was just letting go and having fun. Listening to and trusting the photographer.”

What did doing this shoot do for your self confidence, self worth and self image? Tell me your story.

This shoot has made me feel very confident and comfortable in my own skin. I’ve never had horrible thoughts on my own body image but definitely negative thoughts sneak in. This experience showed me that there’s hundreds of angles of me and that they’re all darn beautiful. :)”

What was the best part of your experience? Would you change anything?

The best part of the experience was having fun and doing something for myself. I wouldn’t change anything if I did it over again.
