Why did you chose Lux to do a boudoir shoot with?

The images I saw on Instagram really felt like the women were themselves but sexier. I loved the different angles, and the lighting.

Why did you do your boudoir shoot?

I was turning 40 and really trying to embrace my body after all these years of weight gain. I wanted to feel sexy in the body I was in instead of waiting until I lost weight.

What was your favourite part of the session?

I loved all of it! It was so much fun seeing the makeup transformation, I really felt like myself just sexier.

What did doing this shoot do for your self confidence, self worth and self image? Tell me your story.

I felt a lot more confident in my skin and my inner confidence shone through just by doing the shoot!

Was your experience what you were expecting? If not, how was it different?

It was a lot longer than I was expecting and definately a lot more ‘work’! The different poses are hard to hold and I am not used to wearing heels so that was interesting. It was great in the sense that I felt comfortable with the photographer and as time went on.

What was the best part of your experience? Would you change anything?

The best part was just doing it! I felt so good after, and although the images were amazing…the experience alone was worth it! If I could change anything, I would have spoken up about wanting less side poses…I feel like I should have said something during the shoot.

What advice do you have for others getting their boudoir pictures taken?

Don’t worry about ‘losing the weight’ or being perfect. The experience of it alone is worth the time and money. The photos are absolutely the icing on the cake because they almost feel surreal with how amazing they are!!!!
