We asked a few questions to our amazing client, Mrs C. about how was her experience doing a boudoir photoshoot for the first time. We were glad to find out that Lux they helped her to feel comfortable in her own skin. Let’s see what else she had to say about it!
Have you ever done a boudoir shoot before? If so, how does your shoot with Lux compare to your prior experience?
I’ve never had professional photos taken like this. I was always skeptical thinking since I’m so camera shy I could never do this. I thought you had to have modeling experience to know how to pose for the camera. But at Lux it wasn’t like this at all. It was less intimidating than I had thought and I’m so glad I finally chose to do it.
Why did you chose Lux to do a boudoir shoot with?
My best friend recommended you guys. As time went on before I had to do my shoot reading the blogs helped me prepare as I was incredibly nervous to do this shoot. The blogs helped me get good ideas and prepare knowing what to expect for the photo shoot
Why did you do your boudoir shoot?
At first I did it for work as I’m a dancer. But in the end I also wanted to do it for myself.
What was your favourite part of the session?
The photoshoot was pretty fun especially the last shots. But I also really enjoyed choosing the photos. It helped me look at myself in a better way.
What did doing this shoot do for your self confidence, self worth and self image? Tell me your story.
I’ve gained a lot of weight this past year due to health reasons, but despite that, this photoshoot helped me gain some more confidence. It’s also pretty empowering. I’m even encouraging my mom to get it done.
Was your experience what you were expecting? If not, how was it different?
It wasn’t what I was expecting at all! It was actually a lot better than what I was expecting.
With the experience& talent at Lux they helped me feel comfortable in my own skin again and gain some confidence and look at myself in a better light.
What was your biggest fear before or during your boudoir shoot?
My biggest fear was that I was going to look fat in all of my photos and it wasn’t going to like them or that I was going to pose weird. But in the end I actually had trouble choosing photos that I wanted because there was lots that I liked. I guess in the end I can be too hard on myself.
What advice do you have for others getting their boudoir pictures taken?
Not to be so hard on yourself. You don’t need to be a model to get boudoir photos done. You just need the right photographer and a good make up artist.
