Just like that another year has come to an end. We are so grateful for every person who came to our studio this year and entrusted us with their boudoir experience. Another year wrapped where we are left feeling grateful for the work we are blessed to do. Another year of witnessing women grow in confidence and self-love through the power of boudoir photography.

As we move into 2023, many of us are taking time to not only reflect on the year now passed, but also making goals, intentions and resolutions for the upcoming year. First, I want to say to those of you too overwhelmed, or too deep in the thick of life to even think about goal setting, you are enough as you are. You don’t have to set goals, you don’t have to do anything but simply be. For those of you who are setting some intentions and resolutions for 2023, I wanted to offer, if I may, a few suggestions.

Instead of focusing our goals for 2023 on the standard issue things like making more money, losing weight or getting in shape, or finding the perfect partner, or having more adventures, what if we were to focus on what might be seen as softer intentions.

Perhaps this year, we can set intentions of being kinder to ourselves and others. We could love ourselves and others a little more. May we be gentler on ourselves and make space in our lives for rest and for play. May we learn to be our own best partners and lovers. May we create lives that are centred around our values and how we want to feel. May we learn to define our success by the amount of joy in our hearts instead of the number of dollars in our bank account. May we be more generous (where possible) within our community. May we set better boundaries and prioritise ourselves.

We are wishing you the very best in 2023. We hope to see you in studio.
