We know how much a boudoir photoshoot can help a woman with her self-confidence and her connection to herself and her sexuality. We know it, we talk about it, but it really is different to experience it for yourself. Wanting to boost her confidence, connect to herself and her sexuality is exactly why Ms. B came to see us here at Lux. Her images are stunning, but more important was the way she left our studio with her head high, a smile on her face and a strut in her walk.
“I want to look back years from now, and see that I’m happy, sexy, proud, and that I am myself no matter what.”
– Ms. B
We connected with Ms. B after her photoshoot to ask about her boudoir experience and how it helped her self-esteem.
Why did you do your boudoir shoot?
I did it for me. Growing up I didn’t have confidence in my own sexuality, thinking I was too soft or too hard. But over the past year I’ve embraced all sides of myself and wanted to own it completely.
What did doing this boudoir shoot do for your self-confidence?
Blew it through the roof!! I stopped caring about how other people saw me and worrying about what they thought and started living for me. Loving me for who I am now and what I have to offer instead of trying to be something other people expected of me. It’s very freeing.
How did you feel doing the shoot?
I’m usually an open person, but I have never felt so comfortable so quickly. It felt as if I do this all the time. I trusted myself and my photographer (shout out to Lindsey) and we created a lot of fun shots.
What advice do you have for someone considering a boudoir photoshoot?
Just believe in yourself and be yourself. Nothing is sexier or can giving you more confidence than being who you are! Show off the beauty from inside and it radiates on the outside.
