We live to work with clients who are wanting to celebrate themselves over 40. There is this misconception that boudoir is for young women only. In truth, many of our clients fit into that over 40 age group. The “issue” is that many older women are a little more shy about sharing their photos, whereas the younger women tend to be more comfortable and eager to share. So when someone like Ms. B is excited to share her photos – and experience – we are ever so grateful. People believe what they see, and women like Ms. B are helping us to prove that women are beautiful, sexy and powerful at any age.
“You ladies made me feel beautiful and sexy. Embracing a new decade. 60 years young. I can look back when I’m 70 and say DAMM I look HOT!!”
Have you ever looked back at old photos of yourself and thought, “wow! I look great!”. Can you remember being that younger version of yourself and how you thought about your body/appearance then?
The reality is that we often don’t appreciate our bodies as they are in this present moment. We want for you to be able to appreciate and celebrate your body now. That’s what boudoir photography is all about. That way, when you look back on photos of yourself from this time, you can smile knowing that not only did you look amazing, but you felt amazing as well.
We asked Ms. B what advice she had for women over 40 thinking of doing a boudoir photoshoot and this is what she had to say:
“You are never too old to do a boudoir shoot. Size doesn’t matter… We are all gorgeous inside and out. The ladies at LUX made you feel beautiful and comfortable.“
